Model 1000 allows users to leverage IP infrastructures and Fibre Channel to interconnect SAN islands for creating enterprise-wide storage networks. Model 2000 supports iSCSI, providing a variety of interconnects for iSCSI and Fibre Channel protocols. Model 1000 can also be software upgraded to the Model 2000. The router leverages IP storage architecture, core software technology embedded in UltraNet hardware products that helps enterprises take advantage of high-capacity data storage from within open IP networking environments.
